The news websites of independent media were blocked by Russia鈥檚 state internet and media regulator Roskomnadzor for what it deemed to be violations of rules on coverage of the country鈥檚 invasion of Ukraine. It blocked access to the websites of RFE/RL鈥檚 Current Time Russian language TV channel, its Krim.Realii Crimea-focussed service, and the New Times news website. Interfax Ukraine鈥檚 Russian-language service was also blocked.
